Adoption fees reduced $5 for puppies, kittens, adult pets
Starting Monday, June 2, Young-Williams Animal Center is offering an adoption special in support of National Pet Appreciation Week, June 2-8. The weeklong event is a chance for the community to show pets how much they are appreciated.
“Our pets show us how much they love us every day,” Jeff Ashin, Young-Williams Animal Center CEO, said. “They wake us up with their wet noses and greet us with wagging tails when we come home. There is no better way to show you care about the pets in our community than by adopting from our shelter.”
From Monday, June 2, to Sunday, June 8, Young-Williams Animal Center will offer $5 off adoption fees for puppies, kittens and adult pets.
Every adopted animal will receive the services covered by the regular adoption fees, which include a veterinary physical exam, spay/neuter surgery, some standard vaccinations, a microchip with registration and more. The adoption prices will be available at Young-Williams Animal Center at 3201 Division St., off Sutherland Avenue, and the Young-Williams Animal Village at 6400 Kingston Pike on Bearden Hill.
In addition to the adoption special, Young-Williams Animal Center also is promoting the hashtag #lovemypet on social media for fans to share stories about how they appreciate their furry friends and demonstrate the ways they celebrate their pet.
“By adopting from the shelter, you’ll be able to show your pet you appreciate him or her all year long,” Ashin said. “As an open intake shelter, we take in about 14,000 animals each year, so there is a variety of sizes, breeds, personalities and temperaments for adopters to choose. We hope those looking for a new pet will stop by one of our locations this week and open their home to a rescued pet.”
