Voting begins in UScellular, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley annual Black History Month Art Contest

Voting is now open in UScellular’s Eighth Annual Black History Month Art Contest with Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley. Voting is available online, and community members can visit newsroom.uscellular.com/2023-bhmac-vote-now to vote for their favorite piece of artwork.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley members created original pieces representing influential Black icons in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). These included historical figures, world leaders, scientists and educators who have made vital contributions to the world of science, technology, engineering and math.

Ten finalists from Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley were chosen by club representatives and local UScellular leaders based on creativity, quality, interpretation, clarity of theme and overall impression. Voting will remain open until Feb. 28, and anyone 18 or older can vote.

The top three vote-getters will be announced in March, and prizes include gift cards in the following amounts:

  • $250, 1st place
  • $150, 2nd place
  • $100, 3rd place
