U.S. Cellular has promoted Soriah Al-Hussein, Brian Ownsby and Jason Whitson to the position of retail store manager at three East Tennessee locations.
Soriah Al-Hussein has been promoted to retail store manager at U.S. Cellular’s Turkey Creek store.
Brian Ownsby has been promoted to retail store manager at U.S. Cellular’s Athens store.
Jason Whitson has been promoted to retail store manager at U.S. Cellular’s Broadway store.
In their new positions, the trio will be responsible for leading a team of wireless technology experts to help customers select the devices, plans and consumer electronics to best meet their needs.
The promotions include:
- Al-Hussein, who was previously retail sales manager at 11001 Parkside Drive, Suite D, in Knoxville and will remain at this location.
- Ownsby, who was previously retail sales manager in Madisonville and will move to the 2029 S. Congress Parkway location in Athens.
- Whitson, who was previously retail sales manager at 4873 N. Broadway in Knoxville and will remain at this location.

Al-Hussein started with U.S. Cellular in 2016. She resides in West Knoxville and enjoys being a dog mom, hiking, writing and spending time with family.
Ownsby, who has 20 years of wireless experience, joined U.S. Cellular in 2016. He lives in Greenback with his family and enjoys hunting, fishing and coaching.
Whitson joined U.S. Cellular in 2012. He lives in Fountain City and enjoys spending time with his family.
