Turner South to lead new South College campus in Indianapolis
South College has promoted Turner South to serve as president of the new campus in Indianapolis.
South College, a multi-campus institution, founded in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1882, offers 80-plus programs and concentrations taught at seven physical campuses and online.
“Turner is well-equipped to helm our new campus in Indianapolis, welcome students, and grow the program offerings to serve the workforce needs of the area,” South College Chief Operating Officer Bradley Adams said. “South College offers programs in diverse fields with the purpose of helping both students and communities thrive. We look forward to serving Indianapolis and Central Indiana.”
Turner South earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas Christian University and currently is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Auburn University. He previously served as director of finance at South College Atlanta.
“It is a privilege to introduce South College to Indianapolis,” South said. “I believe in the quality of our educators and the intentional design of our programs and will work to ensure that students have options, resources, and the best learning experiences to lead to positive outcomes. I also appreciate the welcome from the Indianapolis community.”
The campus is located at 301 Pennsylvania Parkway and currently offers a growing list of programs, including Certificate in Medical Assisting; Associate of Science in Medical Assisting; Associate of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography; Associate of Science in Health Science; Associate of Science in Health Science (Pre-Nursing); Associate of Science in Health Science (Pre-Pharmacy); Associate of Science in Radiography; Bachelor of Science in Health Science; Bachelor of Science in Health Science (Pre-Physical Therapy); and Bachelor of Science in Health Science (Pre-Physician Assistant).
South College Indianapolis participates in a range of financial aid programs and works with students to determine if they qualify. The school also offers a range of student and career services. School leaders are pursuing and developing local community partnerships and Federal Work-Study partners in Indianapolis.
