Crystal Boyd has been selected by The Tranzonic Companies as its 2021 Knoxville employee of the year.
Boyd joined the company on a temporary basis in late 2017 and became a full-time Tranzonic employee in March 2018. She currently serves as a lead in the wovens value stream. She was nominated and recognized by the company and her peers for superlative work and dedication, and a ceremony celebrating Boyd was held March 8.
“Crystal is an integral part of one of our large product divisions, and she continues to set a positive example for those on her team and beyond,” said Brian Rhoades, executive vice president of operations for Tranzonic. “We embrace opportunities to celebrate our great teams and recognize exceptional employees, and I send a heartfelt congratulations to Crystal for receiving this special honor.”
Based in Cleveland, Ohio, The Tranzonic Companies was founded in 1921 and manufactures and distributes wiping cloths, personal hygiene products, textiles, washroom supplies and accessories, wiping and cleaning supplies, and safety products. The West Knoxville facility, located off Hardin Valley Road, is the largest manufacturing and distribution site for The Tranzonic Companies.

The company began recognizing employees through an employee of the month program in 2018, and its first employee of the year was announced in 2019. Boyd was selected by a vote from all Knoxville plant employees, who considered all 2021 employee of the month honorees for the annual award.
