Sheryl Linck, a senior vice president with the firm and a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), is leading this expansion. She has nearly three decades of financial experience.

“Sheryl is an expert in personal and financial planning and has helped business owners and their families make successful transitions through exit planning and succession,” said Daniel Carter, president of The Trust Company of Tennessee. “Her experience in the field made her the obvious fit to fill this new role and lead the expansion of our services. Business owners have invested their lives in their work, and exit planning can help ensure a successful transition and preserve the viability of the business moving forward.”

At its core, exit planning is about control for business owners in terms of when to transition and how to do so in a way that is advantageous for both the owner and successor. Exit and/or succession planning addresses business, personal, financial, legal and tax implications and provides clarity for the current business owner, employees and the intended successor.

The specialized ExitMap® Assessment focuses on the four key areas of operations, finance, planning and profit/revenue. The assessment, which is offered at no cost and without obligation, can be found in the Business Advisory Services section of https://thetrust.com and includes a brief questionnaire to begin the process and connect with Linck.
