Beach BoysLegendary musical group The Beach Boys will headline “Stars on Stage,” the annual fundraising gala and performance to benefit the Historic Tennessee Theatre Foundation. General admission and VIP reception tickets are on sale now at www.tennesseetheatre.com or by calling the box office at 865-684-1200 for the Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, concert.

“When The Beach Boys made their debut 50 years ago, the group and their distinct vocal harmonies revolutionized the music industry with a fresh new ‘California Sound’ that resonates with audiences of all ages to this day,” Tennessee Theatre Executive Director Becky Hancock said. “We are thrilled that this iconic band will headline our fundraiser to support the preservation of the Tennessee Theatre and the community outreach programs of the nonprofit foundation.”

With such hits as “Good Vibrations,” “California Girls,” “God Only Knows” and numerous other No. 1 songs, the Beach Boys have solidified their place in music history as one of the most decorated, commercially successful and influential bands ever. The Beach Boys were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001. “Rolling Stone” has ranked The Beach Boys as No. 12 in its list of 100 greatest artists of all time.

Captained by original band member Mike Love, “The Beach Boys” continue to tour the country, averaging 150 shows a year that range from their appearance at the 2012 Winter Olympics to special events worldwide, like the Tennessee Theatre’s “Stars on Stage” gala in 2016.

The “Stars on Stage” gala VIP reception will begin at 5 p.m. and will include hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and a silent auction featuring musical instruments and other memorabilia autographed by visiting artists to the Tennessee Theatre, fine art, unique package experiences and more. The concert begins at 7 p.m.

VIP tickets are $250 and include the pre-show reception, silent auction and premium seating at the performance. Other reserved seating tickets to The Beach Boys performance are $54.50, $69.50 and $84.50 plus service fees and are available at the Tennessee Theatre box office on Clinch Avenue, by phone at 865-684-1200 and online at www.tennesseetheatre.com.

All proceeds from “Stars on Stage” will benefit the nonprofit Historic Tennessee Theatre Foundation, which ensures the preservation of the world-class performance venue, extends the theater’s diverse programming into the community and opens its state-of-the-art performing arts facility for public enjoyment.

Corporate sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information, contact the Historic Tennessee Theatre Foundation at 865-684-1200, ext. 145.
