Savanna Howie, who joined Moxley Carmichael in 2016, delivers results for clients in Knoxville and throughout the region.
She supports such segment-leading clients as U.S. Cellular, Pilot Flying J, Johnson Architecture and Asbury Place. Savanna assists in the day-to-day needs of our clients, including the development of public relations strategies and communication plans and providing effective media relations. She also is an experienced event planner.
Savanna previously served as an account executive with The Andrews Agency in Nashville, Tennessee, where she represented clients in restaurant, economic development, building construction, nonprofit and other industries.
A 2015 graduate of the University of Tennessee, she interned with Moxley Carmichael for a year and a half while completing her college coursework. Savanna is the fifth former intern whom Moxley Carmichael has hired as a full-time employee. Other current team members who completed internships with the firm include Lauren Miller, director of client services; Katrina Roberts, graphic and digital media designer; and Amy Barger, manager of first impressions.
Savanna earned a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and political science from UT, where she was a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA); The Volunteer Channel, the student television station; and Kappa Kappa Gamma. She also interned with Nashville Lifestyles magazine.
A Nashville native, she is the daughter of Ron and Gail Howie and lives in the Sequoyah Hills neighborhood in Knoxville. When she’s not working, Savanna enjoys watching college football and playing with her dog, Roxy, a rescue from Young-Williams Animal Center.
