Pam Rhoades joins Moxley Carmichael as digital storyteller

Award-winning broadcaster and communications professional Pam Rhoades has joined Moxley Carmichael as digital storyteller.

pam-rhoadesThe newly created position entails identifying stories to tell on behalf of Moxley Carmichael and the firm’s clients and effectively sharing these stories with traditional, digital and creative tools, especially through visual and audio methods.

“Moxley Carmichael is in the business of telling our clients’ stories,” Moxley Carmichael CEO Cynthia Moxley said.

“As the digital world continues to transform the way we communicate, adding a digital storyteller of Pam’s caliber enhances our ability to reach audiences across the spectrum and do an even better job of keeping our clients in the spotlight.”

Rhoades most recently served as communications director at Sacred Heart Cathedral and School, where she implemented communications platforms that resulted in the parish being recognized as a leading standard in communications among nonprofits.

Before coming to Knoxville, Rhoades had a career in radio, including an 11-year stint as air personality and producer with WFBQ-FM Q95 Classic Rock and “The Bob and Tom Show” in Indianapolis, Indiana. She went on to help launch the first sports talk radio station in Indianapolis, WNDE 1260 AM Sportsradio, where as program director, she hired now Republican vice presidential candidate and current Indiana governor, Mike Pence, to host a conservative talk show in 1992. Rhoades was a two-time Marconi Award-winning broadcaster and Female Broadcaster of the Year in Indianapolis.

Rhoades earned a bachelor’s degree in radio/television from Butler University in Indianapolis. She and her husband, Brian, are proud to call Knoxville home with their two children and a mischievous Russian Blue feline, Sasha, adopted from Young-Williams Animal Center.
