Michelle Henry, who had been with Moxley Carmichael since 2005, was adept at communicating the written word through a variety of formats across diverse subject areas. She also had more than 20 years of experience in event planning.

Prior to joining Moxley Carmichael, she worked as a legal secretary and assistant for several Knoxville-based law firms. Knoxville businesswomen knew Michelle through her position as executive director of the Executive Women’s Association, an organization of top female executives. She was the author of the inspiring book, “My Anchor Holds,” a chronicle of her fight against stage 4 colon cancer, and “The Fashion Police Handbook,” which captured Michelle’s wry sense of humor. She was the American Cancer Society 2015 Hope Gala Honoree.

Michelle died in 2017 after a valiant fight against cancer for eight years. She was a beloved friend and colleague and will forever be a part of our team.
