Destinee Dowdy joined Moxley Carmichael as a public relations specialist in 2017 after completing an eight-month internship with the firm.

She works with the account team to compose news releases, conduct research and assist with any public relations support needed to help clients share their story and reach their audience.

Prior to joining Moxley Carmichael, Destinee served as the special events intern for the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority where she planned large-scale events for the 2016 Smoky Mountain Air Show. She also interned with the Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum as a nonprofit communications intern.

Destinee graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee in December 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in communication. While attending UT, she was a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America where she developed her interest in the public relations industry.

Destinee also was a resident assistant at Laurel Hall Apartments for two and a half years and worked directly with students as a mentor and community program developer.

When she’s not working, Destinee enjoys yoga and browsing local bookshops. She has a dog, Bentley, who was adopted from Young-Williams Animal Center.
