Graphic and web designer Candice McQueen joined the Moxley Carmichael creative team in 2022 and brings a diverse set of design skills. She appreciates the stories, meanings and missions behind brands and brings those stories to life in a tangible and visual state through design.

Candice previously worked at JTV as a senior multimedia designer and creative director, leading a team of 16 and managing all aspects of campaign development and execution. She’s also held marketing, digital, photography and web design positions.

In the year leading up to joining the Moxley Carmichael team, she explored various creative endeavors. She learned how to turn wood and launched Woodshop Woman, making and selling her designs at local markets. She also is the founder, content creator and podcast host for Good Morning Girl at, which aims to embolden, empower, educate and encourage young women with a focus on mental wellness.

Candice earned an associate of applied science in communication graphics in 2008 at Pellissippi State Community College after pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Tennessee in 2005. She also has studied creativity and entrepreneurship through Berklee College of Music and performance psychology through The Julliard School.

She is a former board member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) Knoxville.

Music was Candice’s first love, and she performs and records when possible. Her music opened the door for her creative ventures and led Candice on the path to make a living as a creative person.

Candice has lived in several states but calls East Tennessee home and now resides in Seymour with her husband, Jason Brown, and their four dogs, Harper, Athena, Sadie and Murray. In her free time, she loves to watch local music acts – especially at Bistro at the Bijou or Barley’s Taproom and Pizzeria – and go hiking and kayaking.
