South College has earned accreditation from the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) for the business and management programs offered through the School of Business & Technology.
South College, a private institution regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), pursued IACBE accreditation for the accounting and business administration programs offered at the associate, bachelor’s and master’s levels.
“IACBE has a rigorous and comprehensive accreditation process, and we’re pleased to have met the goals to obtain accreditation,” said Dr. Michael E. Dillon, dean of the South College School of Business & Technology. “The South College School of Business & Technology has undergone expansion in the past year and with this accreditation, we’re positioned to continue our tradition of offering excellent degree programs that prepare students for available jobs in the current market.”
Accreditation by the IACBE is granted by an independent, external evaluation of the quality, effectiveness and outcomes of a school’s programs.
South College was awarded IACBE candidate status early in 2019 and completed a self-evaluation and peer review and pursued compliance with IACBE accreditation principles, including program outcomes, curriculum, faculty and innovation.
“The School of Business & Technology has demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvement, excellence in business education and advancing academic quality in its business programs and operations,” according to the IACBE.
