South College extends assistance to Pittsburgh Career Institute students to finish education

November 11, 2022

South College Pittsburgh is located at 3000 Westinghouse Drive in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. South College is a multi-campus institution founded in Knoxville in 1882 and offers 80-plus programs and concentrations taught at eight physical campuses and online.

South College has extended assistance to Pittsburgh Career Institute students who need to complete their healthcare program education and are working on a transfer agreement with the Pennsylvania school.

“These students need to stay on track to graduate and be prepared to enter their chosen healthcare fields,” South College Chancellor Steve South said. “We don’t want the academic ambitions of these students to lose momentum, and South College would welcome the opportunity to help them complete their education.”

The Articulation/Transfer Agreement between South College and Pittsburgh Career Institute will include students in diagnostic medical sonography, medical assisting, and surgical technology programs. Pittsburgh Career Institute recently announced that the school would close by the end of 2022 and will assist students with transfers so as to minimize interruption in their education. South College is working closely with the institute to evaluate courses with the goal of no or as little as possible loss of credits when transitioning to a new school.

Pittsburgh Career Institute students interested in enrolling at South College should visit south.edu for additional information about specific programs, financial aid, and the application process or contact the Pittsburgh campus directly at 724-720-9500 or [email protected].
