Registration opens Aug. 1 for 2019 Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon featuring new finish line

July 30, 2018

Registration will open early Wednesday, Aug. 1, at 12:01 a.m. for the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon events taking place March 30-31, 2019.

For the upcoming 15th annual race event, participants will enjoy a new finish-line experience in World’s Fair Park. Due to scheduled renovations at Neyland Stadium, the finish line will be moved for both the 2019 and 2020 race weekends.

Race officials currently are planning additional post-race festivities for finishers, family and fans to enjoy at World’s Fair Park.

“For many years we’ve enjoyed a finish on the 50-yard line, but in 2019, we’ll be cheering and celebrating under Knoxville’s iconic Sunsphere in World’s Fair Park,” Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon race director Jason Altman said. “We’re excited about the family-friendly, party-like atmosphere participants can expect at this year’s finish line. We’ll be making more announcements over the coming months as we finalize the new course and fun plans for the weekend’s festivities.”

Participants are encouraged to register online at www.knoxvillemarathon.com. Current registration fees include $65 for the full marathon; $50 for the half-marathon and two-person relay; $35 for the four-person relay; $25 for the 5K; and $10 for the Covenant Kids Run. Price increases on entry fees go into effect at 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday, Aug. 16.

In celebration of the 15th annual race event, Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon is offering valuable perks for race participants, including free post-race photos. Look for additional updates on special giveaways for marathon and half-marathon finishers coming soon.
