Regas Square development officially breaks ground

Opening of luxury midrise slated for 2018 in downtown Knoxville

Elected officials and community leaders gathered today to celebrate the official groundbreaking for Regas Square, a $40 million mixed-use development in Downtown Knoxville.

The development, a six-story midrise offering 101 luxury one-, two- and three-bedroom condominium units and 20,700 square feet of restaurant, retail space and entertainment space, is located at 333 W. Depot Ave. More than one-third of the condominiums have been presold.

“For the many Knoxvillians eager for new opportunities for upscale downtown living and fresh restaurant and retail experiences, the wait will soon be over,” said Joe Petre, president of Conversion Properties, Inc, project manager for the development. “We are delighted to begin construction on Regas Square in anticipation of an August 2018 opening.”

Located in one of the city’s most dynamic areas and encompassing nearly a city block, Regas Square is within walking distance of other downtown restaurants, cafes, shops, salons, entertainment venues and galleries and also the University of Tennessee campus. The development features 101 residences with private garage parking; storage units; a fitness center; clubroom and social areas; and a private exterior courtyard. The ground floor offers retail and restaurant space with outdoor patio seating and a large public courtyard.

Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero and Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett were on hand at the groundbreaking, and praised the project for its economic and aesthetic benefits to a quickly expanding area of Downtown.

“Regas Square is a bold project that adds momentum to the growth of our thriving downtown and promotes a vibrant local economy,” Rogero said. “We applaud Regas Square and what it brings to Downtown and Downtown North.”

The residences offer 19 floor plans featuring generous light-filled living spaces with large terraces, high ceilings, hardwood flooring, ample closet space, open kitchens with quartz countertops, custom cabinetry and stainless appliances. Master bathrooms will be stylishly appointed with sleek tile, double vanities, quartz countertops and modern fixtures. Pre-construction pricing begins in the low $200,000’s.
