The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Lucas Richman have announced the 2014-2015 Classical Season. 2014-15 marks the KSO’s 79th season and the Orchestra’s final year with Maestro Richman.

When Henry the hound mix first came to Young-Williams Animal Center, he had been hit by a car in North Knoxville. A dislocated hip and broken pelvis left him unable to move his back legs. Henry was much closer to death than adoption.

Legendary artist Kenny Rogers, best known for country hits like “The Gambler” and “Islands in the Stream,” will headline the Tennessee Theatre’s annual “Stars on Stage” fundraiser on Saturday, May 17, at 8 p.m. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Historic Tennessee Theatre Foundation to support ongoing operations and maintenance for the theatre in the coming year.

The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will perform Dancing & Romancing for the Clayton Valentine’s Pops Concert, part of the Knoxville News Sentinel Pops Series. The concert features romantic, recognizable Broadway tunes and will take place on Saturday, February 8 at 8:00 p.m. at the Civic Auditorium. Tickets range from $35 – $89.
