The Knoxville News Sentinel Readers’ Choice contest returns Sept. 8-22, 2013, with print ballots available each day in the News Sentinel. Readers may cast their vote for their favorite businesses throughout East Tennessee in 150 categories ranging from Romantic Dining to Mortgage Company.
In order for a ballot to be valid and counted, the reader must vote in 25 or more categories and submit only one ballot per household address. By submitting a complete and valid ballot, the reader will be entered to win one of seven Visa gift cards. Five $100 Visa gift cards, one $500 Visa gift card, and one $1,000 Visa gift card will be randomly awarded to select voters upon completion of the contest at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013.
The results of the 2013 News Sentinel Readers’ Choice contest will be announced in a special section publishing in the News Sentinel on Dec. 8, 2013. Plaques will be awarded to the Readers’ Choice Winners, and window decals denoting the award will be given to Readers’ Choice Favorites.
2012 Readers’ Choice Contest
In 2012, more than 70,000 votes were counted, and 154 businesses were named a Readers’ Choice Winner. Likewise, 308 businesses were named a Readers’ Choice Favorite in their selected categories. A special section recognizing the honorees was published in the News Sentinel on Dec. 2, 2012.
