June 6, 2016

CAC Beardsley Community Farm, OliBea and Moxley Carmichael are partnering for the 5th annual Solstice Supper, a farm-to-table event to benefit the urban community farm.

2016-06 Solstice SupperThe supper will be held at The Standard in downtown Knoxville on June 20, 2016. OliBea owner and chef Jeff DeAlejandro and chef Winter Hose will cook a unique dinner featuring produce grown at Beardsley Farm. Other local farms, including Colvin Family Farm, A Place of the Heart Farm, Bob Due’s Terraced Gardens Farm and Mountain Meadows Farm, also will donate produce. The supper will be vegetarian, and vegan options will be available upon advance request.

“This is a great event that I’ve enjoyed attending in the past,” Moxley Carmichael CEO Cynthia Moxley said. “We continue to be impressed and inspired by the work of Beardsley Farm, and we hope our sponsorship helps this event continue to grow and be successful in supporting the work they do in our community.”

Proceeds from the dinner will support the farm’s mission to address food security issues in Knoxville through produce donations, community gardening and education opportunities.

“The dinner also serves as an opportunity to celebrate Beardsley Farm’s story and its success over the past year, and it will recognize many of the farm’s supporters and partners,” said Khann Chov, urban agriculture director for CAC Beardsley Community Farm. “Please visit our website to get your tickets today. You’ll enjoy a fresh, delicious and locally inspired meal by OliBea – while supporting food security and sustainable agriculture for Knoxville.”

Tickets are $65 each. A group of four is available for $240, and a table of eight is $450. For more information about the supper and the farm and to purchase tickets, visit www.beardsleyfarm.org.
