Moxley Carmichael has hired Katherine Whitehead as an account associate to assist the firm’s account executives in client support, public relations and marketing strategies.
Prior to joining Moxley Carmichael, she served as a marketing specialist at Del Conca USA, Inc., a tile manufacturer based in Loudon, Tennessee. Whitehead also served as the nightlife writer at the Knoxville News Sentinel, where she leveraged relationships in the community to produce compelling biweekly columns.
“Katherine has a diverse skill set and will be an asset to our company and all of our clients,” said Cynthia Moxley, founder and CEO of Moxley Carmichael. “She is invested in the East Tennessee community and brings a lot of enthusiasm to the team.”
Whitehead, who has five years of experience in the field, has worked with major home improvement retailers, television production companies and local businesses to develop promotional campaigns. She has hit the ground running assisting Moxley Carmichael clients with media pitching, marketing strategy, social media support, special events and more.

Whitehead earned a Bachelor of Science in communication from the University of Tennessee in 2018. While attending UT, she wrote for several online publications and worked extensively with the Knoxville Museum of Art’s marketing department. She also studied digital communications in London, England, at the University of Westminster. Whitehead’s community service includes volunteering with tnAchieves, Water Angel Ministries, Mobile Meals and Random Acts of Flowers.
She resides in South Knoxville and enjoys exploring downtown Knoxville, checking out local breweries and attending music festivals with friends.
