Local company M&M Productions USA and founder Mike Brown have donated a new sound system to Oak Ridge High School’s soccer stadium.
The stadium’s aging speakers needed an upgrade as spectators often were unable to hear the names of the players. Brown and M&M Productions USA, which is based in Oak Ridge, responded with a concert-grade system.
“We love our Oak Ridge community and look for ways that we can use our production expertise to help others,” said Brown, founder, president and CEO of M&M Productions USA. “When we realized how urgently a new sound system was needed, we found a solution to create a better experience for both spectators and players. As a bonus, we also get to show our Wildcat pride.”
Oak Ridge-based M&M Productions USA and founder Mike Brown donated a $7,000 sound system for Oak Ridge High School’s soccer stadium.
The new $7,000 sound system now covers the entire stadium and field evenly with clear sound. The equipment also is built to withstand humid weather and even includes a button to play the national anthem.
“The state-of-the art sound system at Pro2Serve Soccer Complex will enhance the game day experience for players and spectators,” said Mike Mullins, athletic director at Oak Ridge High School. “I want to extend a special thanks to Mike Brown and M&M Productions USA for the generous donation to our soccer program.”
Members of the school staff also thanked Brown at a special gathering May 10 on the soccer field.
