SMG Knoxville has named Misti Lewis director of Chilhowee Park & Exposition Center. She will begin her new position Monday, Nov. 13.

“Misti’s love of community and management and leadership skills make her a great fit as director at one of Knoxville’s most-beloved places,” said Mary Bogert, general manager of SMG Knoxville.
Lewis served for the past year as accounting manager for the Knoxville Civic Auditorium and Coliseum (KCAC). SMG Knoxville manages KCAC, Chilhowee Park and the Knoxville Convention Center.
“Misti has been a wonderful asset to SMG Knoxville, and I am thrilled to see how her outgoing personality will enrich the culture and growing excitement at Chilhowee Park,” Bogert said. “She understands the history of the park and its importance to the community. She will bring new ideas and energy to this gem in East Knoxville.”
As director, Lewis will oversee the staff and day-to-day operations of Chilhowee Park.
“I have learned so much in the past year about this community and the staff at SMG Knoxville,” Lewis said. “I look forward to working every day with the team at Chilhowee Park to make it a great experience for all visitors and continue to attract fun events and live concerts.”
Prior to joining SMG Knoxville, Lewis held several positions at the Swain County Health Department in Bryson City, North Carolina, including operations director, finance director and emergency preparedness coordinator.
A native of Sylva, North Carolina, Lewis earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Carolina University and an MBA from South University in Savannah, Georgia.
Lewis and her fiancé, Rusty Satterfield, reside in the Seymour area with their daughter, Morgan. In her spare time, Lewis enjoys fishing, hunting, softball and golf. The couple are involved in several community events that promote and provide fishing experiences to children and other individuals with disabilities.
