Warriner400Lamar Dunn and Associates, Inc. (LDA Engineering) today announced that Mark Warriner has joined the company as chief operations manager and senior vice president. Warriner will be charged with managing the flow of the day-to-day work processes at LDA Engineering from project initiation to completion and ensure the quality of completed work to clients.

“Mark has nearly 30 years of experience managing large-scale water, wastewater and stormwater projects in Tennessee,” said LDA Engineering President and CEO Jason Brooks. “Mark’s leadership along with his vast management and engineering experience, as well as his attention to detail, will be invaluable in keeping our projects on-time and on track to deliver the highest-quality customer service to our clients.”

Warriner spent the first 20 years of his career in the Metro Government of Nashville and Davidson County. Beginning in 1985, he served as roadway design and construction manager for the Department of Public Works, and he supervised a construction team that completed $30 million in annual Public Works projects, including stormwater.

In 1994, he moved to the Metro Water Services department. Warriner served as the design and construction manager for the engineering division, which completed $75 million of new water and sewer facilities annually. Projects included installation of new facilities and rehabilitation of existing infrastructure for water, wastewater and stormwater water service.

“Mark’s first-hand experience in the public sector will be a great benefit to our clients, especially local government entities and utilities,” said Brooks.

In 2004, Warriner moved to the private sector at Gresham, Smith and Partners Knoxville office. He served as the construction manager for KUB’s PACE 10 program, a $500 million program to upgrade Knoxville’s sewer system. Warriner was a principal at Gresham, Smith and Partners before coming to LDA Engineering in 2013.

Warriner graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1984. He is an active member of the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the American Water Works Association (AWWA).

Warriner currently resides in Maryville with his wife, Leigh Anne. His daughter, Elizabeth, 20, is a junior at the University of Tennessee, and son, Matthew, 18, will attend East Tennessee State University in the fall.
