Knoxville Symphony to present three fall community concerts

The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will present an exciting slate of three community concerts in Knoxville and Loudon in September and October from classics to Mozart to Pink Floyd.

The concert lineup includes:

Symphony on the Square – Sept. 8

The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will perform an evening concert in downtown Knoxville’s Market Square on Thursday, Sept. 8, at 7:30 p.m. Led by Music Director Aram Demirjian, the KSO will perform selections by Mozart, Chopin, Holst, Rossini and more.

Sponsored by Home Federal Bank, this family-friendly concert is free and open to the public. No tickets are required. Picnic blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged. In case of light rain, the concert will take place as scheduled. In case of cold temperatures or thunderstorms, the concert will be relocated to the Bijou Theatre.

Mozart in the Gardens – Sept. 29

The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum on Thursday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m. to present an interactive musical experience where patrons can listen to three string ensembles placed throughout the gardens followed by a full chamber orchestra performance in the Dogwood Center. Music Director Aram Demirjian has crafted an evening of Mozart’s most notable repertoire, including “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik” and “Marriage of Figaro Overture.”

This concert is free and open to the public. No tickets are required. Picnic blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged. In case of light rain, the concert will take place as scheduled. In case of cold temperatures or thunderstorms, the concert will be canceled.

The Music of Pink Floyd – Oct. 1

The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will present the Music of Pink Floyd at Tennessee National Amphitheater in Loudon on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 7:30 p.m. The KSO will be joined by a full rock band and vocalists to bring Pink Floyd’s popular hits to life.

Tickets are $40; children 12 and under are admitted free. Tickets can be purchased through Tennessee National Amphitheater here. In case of light rain, the concert will take place as scheduled. In case of cold temperatures or thunderstorms, the concert will be canceled.
