KCC_BuildingSphere_GoodbThe Knoxville Convention Center recently received a Prime Site Award from the readers of Facilities & Destinations, a leading publication for meeting and event planners, booking agents and promoters. The awards were announced in the June issue of the magazine.

Prime Site award winners are the highest-rated facilities in the country as voted by the publication’s readers. The Knoxville Convention Center has received the award for nine consecutive years. This year, 17 facilities were selected from the Southeast region.

“This award further confirms Knoxville’s top place among the nation’s facilities for meetings and conventions,” said Mary Bogert, general manager for the Knoxville Convention Center. “We are thankful to our clients and industry partners for selecting us to win this award yet again, and we are very proud of our track record in the industry.”

Readers of Facilities & Destination magazine are association executives, trade show managers and special event and meeting planners. The publication has polled its readers to identify the nation’s top venues since 1994. The scores are based on marketability, accessibility, quality and customer service.

The Knoxville Convention Center is one of 32 SMG-managed facilities to earn the award this year.
