‘Eat Your Heart Out’ luncheon to benefit heart health for women
Buy a $10 ticket for Aimbridge Hospitality’s “Eat Your Heart Out” luncheon and get a chance to win a free night’s stay and breakfast at THE TENNESSEAN Personal Luxury Hotel in downtown Knoxville.
The luncheon, which will take place Thursday, March 21, from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., will benefit Go Red for Women, part of the American Heart Association’s initiative to raise awareness for women’s heart health. The luncheon will take place at the Park Pavilion, the event venue located at 525 Henley St. in the Holiday Inn World’s Fair Park, and is sponsored by THE TENNESSEAN Personal Luxury Hotel and the Park Pavilion.
Tickets will be sold at the door with payment accepted by cash or credit card. Attendees are encouraged but not required to RSVP to Paxton Rose at email@example.com.
“This luncheon will be a fun event that brings attention to a serious issue,” said Skip Adams, general manager of THE TENNESSEAN and the Holiday Inn World’s Fair Park. “Women can too often be the ones taking care of everyone else and ignore their own health. Go Red for Women intends to end heart disease and stroke in women, and we want to help in any way that we can.”
The luncheon is part of the “Aimbridge Has Heart!” campaign, a nationwide effort by Aimbridge Hospitality to raise money for the American Heart Association across its properties. Aimbridge manages the two hotels and is the country’s largest independent hotel investment and management firm.
The luncheon menu will offer build-your-own nachos bar with a selection of grilled chicken, ground beef or turkey plus an assortment of cheese and fresh toppings; a garden salad bar; and cinnamon churros with chocolate sauce for dessert.
Each luncheon ticket counts as an entry into a raffle for a free night at THE TENNESSEAN Personal Luxury Hotel with breakfast in The Drawing Room and valet parking.
The hotels’ food and beverage outlets also will offer specials until March 22, with a portion of the proceeds donated to the American Heart Association:
- The Drawing Room at The Tennessean Hotel: The Hennessean cocktail, made with red sangria and sprinkled with cocoa powder, $13, and any flatbread, $13.
- Windows on the Park at the Holiday Inn World’s Fair Park: chicken wings, $12, and pomegranate martinis, $12.
