Downtown Knoxville Alliance to announce winners of ‘Much Love’ giveaway
On Friday, Feb. 26, the Downtown Knoxville Alliance will announce the five winners of its “Much Love” love letter giveaway on the organization’s social media accounts.
Earlier this month, the Downtown Knoxville Alliance, in partnership with the City of Knoxville and Dogwood Arts, collected love letters to Knoxville from downtown visitors and residents as a part of the “Much Love” initiative to spread love throughout the city. The organizers’ favorite letters have been entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of five complimentary one-night stays at local downtown hotels.
“People’s heartfelt love letters to Knoxville made us smile, laugh and even cry,” said Michele Hummel, executive director of the Downtown Knoxville Alliance. “We had a hard time selecting our favorites because each one served as a beautiful reminder of what makes our city so special – the people.”
From Feb. 1-14, dozens of letters were dropped off in the bright red, 4-foot-tall l I LOVE KNOX mailbox located in Market Square and featuring artwork by Paris Woodhull. Many more submissions also were collected electronically. Visit downtownknoxville.org/love-letters to view a sampling of the letters received.
Winners of the love letter giveaway will receive one-night stays at the following downtown hotels: Crowne Plaza Knoxville, Embassy Suites by Hilton, Hampton Inn & Suites, Hilton Knoxville and Oliver Hotel.
Winners will be announced Friday, Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. on the Downtown Knoxville’s Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages.
