Clancy’s Tavern & Whiskey House to host happy hour for shelter
Clancy’s Tavern & Whiskey House has partnered with Young-Williams Animal Center to help raise money for the shelter on Saturday, June 20, during “Cocktails for a Cause.”
From 6-10 p.m., the restaurant will donate 10 percent of sales from special cocktail and food menu items to Young-Williams Animal Center. The drink menu includes cocktails with pet-themed names, such as Puppy Chow and Cat Scratch Fever. Food items also are animal-themed, such as the Pug Spud potato skins and Weenie Dogs hot dogs.
“We love the people and animals at Young-Williams Animal Center,” said Emily Lovelace, event coordinator for Clancy’s Tavern. “We’re inviting all of Knoxville and the city’s visitors to join us Saturday to show support for the shelter. Come have a cocktail for a great cause!”
Young-Williams Animal Center will use the donations to care for the nearly 12,000 animals that come to the shelter every year.
“We’re so grateful for businesses like Clancy’s Tavern who want to help our community’s animals,” said Jeff Ashin, CEO of Young-Williams Animal Center. “I hope all of our supporters and advocates will show up at Clancy’s Tavern on June 20. I know I plan to be there.”
