U.S. CELLULAR ANNOUNCES SIGNIFICANT INVESTMENT IN 4G LTE NETWORK, RETAIL STORES AND COMMUNITIES IN TENNESSEE FOR 2013

U.S. Cellular upgraded the wireless experience for its Tennessee customers in 2013 by investing $57.6 million in 4G LTE network enhancements across the state. Currently, nearly 90 percent of U.S. Cellular customers have access to 4G LTE speeds that are up to 10 times faster than 3G and similar to a cable Internet connection. The company also invested $13.3 million in upgrades to its existing high-speed network in Tennessee.

COUNTRY LEGEND KENNY ROGERS TO HEADLINE TENNESSEE THEATRE’S ‘STARS ON STAGE’

Legendary artist Kenny Rogers, best known for country hits like “The Gambler” and “Islands in the Stream,” will headline the Tennessee Theatre’s annual “Stars on Stage” fundraiser on Saturday, May 17, at 8 p.m. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Historic Tennessee Theatre Foundation to support ongoing operations and maintenance for the theatre in the coming year.
