Asbury Communities recently named Aaron Roop executive director of its Kingsport campus.

Aaron Roop
Executive Director
Asbury Place Kingsport

Roop comes to Asbury Place from Medical Facilities of America, where he served as an administrator at several communities since 2010. He most recently was with Parham Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Richmond, Virginia, a 180-bed skilled nursing community with more than 160 employees.

“Aaron joins us after a thorough search,” Asbury Communities Regional Vice President of Operations Robin Stern said. “He is a talented and experienced administrator with the demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team dedicated to providing exceptional service to those we serve.”

Roop is now responsible for overseeing the continuing care retirement community that includes residential villas and apartments, assisted living and a health care center with rehabilitation services. He joins Asbury Place as it opens the community’s new long-term care model inspired by a traditional family home, where a resident-centered care approach not only resembles life at home, but also allows residents who live there to direct their daily lives.

“I welcome the opportunity to be at Asbury Place as it leads the way in long-term care with this new choice for older adults,” Roop said. “This culture aligns with my personal vision, and I’m proud that Asbury Place is the first community in Tennessee to offer this innovative health care concept.”

Roop earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise and an MBA from King College. He resides in Kingsport with wife Ashley.
