Today, Asbury Place Kingsport officially opened a salon and spa at its Steadman Hill Assisted Living campus, bringing hairstyling, manicures and spa treatments to its residents. The $30,000 investment in the spa is part of nearly $400,000 in campus improvements.

“This is an exciting day for our residents at the Steadman Hill campus,” said Sandra Brown, executive director of the Kingsport campus. “By expanding and updating this 300-square-foot area, we are able to offer new services to our residents, including manicures, haircuts and color. There is also a whirlpool tub for spa treatments.”

Tammy Christian McKinney serves as the administrator of the Steadman Hill campus –  located at 1300 Bloomingdale Pike in Kingsport – and believes the new services will enhance the lives of the residents who call the campus home.

“We have a licensed cosmetologist available to provide these amenities on campus,” McKinney said. “These salon and spa services will help residents look and feel their best, which will boost their well-being and confidence, too.”

Other campus improvements include new carpet, paint, flooring, furniture and roofing. Various room renovations have also been completed, and a bus was purchased for the campus.
