MARKETING AND INTERNET PROFESSIONAL JOINS MOXLEY CARMICHAEL AS DIRECTOR OF NEW MEDIA
Bob Wilson, a professional with more than 12 years experience in marketing and online technologies, has recently joined Moxley Carmichael public relations firm as director of new media.
Moxley Carmichael’s focus on new media expands beyond Web sites and Web marketing to online strategies designed to engage audiences and create meaningful interactions. “We recognize the growing importance of Web options in a company’s media mix,” said Cynthia Moxley, CEO of Moxley Carmichael. “New media enables our clients to engage their customers in new ways.”

Moxley Carmichael has found that its clients benefit from using both traditional communications media along with newer channels, such as Twitter, Facebook and Flickr. Wilson will focus on selecting and implementing the appropriate tools and technologies to achieve each client’s communications goals.

Before joining Moxley Carmichael, Wilson spent five years at Knoxville Utilities Board working on Web and Internet services for Knoxville’s largest public utility company. Prior to that he owned a Web site design company and has been involved in all aspects of Internet business and Web site development.
“The Internet is an increasingly important tool for business,” said Wilson. “But online capabilities are evolving so quickly, it’s important to know which tools will be most effective to achieve each client’s goals.”
A Knoxville native, Wilson graduated from the University of Tennessee. He resides in the Fountain City area of North Knoxville with his wife, Angie, and ten-year-old daughter, Grace.
