More than 300 Mortals Meet Mercury, the Messenger God, at Moxley Carmichael's 2010 Client Party
Moxley Carmichael chose Mercury, the messenger god, to help promote the company's popular blog, The Blue Streak, at its annual client party on Friday, Feb. 5. More than 300 VIPs attended - many of them wearing blue in support of the party theme. Mercury was actually actor Jim McGuire from Clarence Brown Theatre. Readers of the News Sentinel recently voted Cynthia Moxley as East Tennessee's best blogger for The Blue Streak.
Pilot Celebrity Pumpers 2009
Pilot Celebrity Pumpers, in its 14th year, is an annual fundraiser that includes local media personalities and elected officials pumping gas at Knox County Pilot locations over a three-day period. During the campaign, Pilot donates to United Way of Greater Knoxville 5 cents for each gallon of gas sold and 10 percent of all in-store sales. It is the United Way of Greater Knoxville's single largest fundraiser each year. The 2009 campaign raised $58,000.
Knoxville Welcomes New UT Football Coach Lane Kiffin
First Tennessee, Pilot and UT Medical Center sponsored a welcoming reception March 25 for Lane Kiffin and his assistant coaches. More than 200 Knoxville notables, including Mayors Haslam and Ragsdale, attended the orange-and-white themed soiree in the lobby of First Tennessee Plaza.
Cupid is Featured Guest at Moxley Carmichael's 2009 Mid-Winter Celebration
Cupid took aim at more than 300 politicians, business leaders and media folks who attended Moxley Carmichael's 17th annual client party Feb. 13! Cupid was really Jonathan Viser, an actor from Clarence Brown Theatre, who was an incredibly good sport, as these pictures will attest!
Pilot Corporation 50th Anniversary Community Investment
To commemorate its 50th anniversary, Pilot made a $1 million donation to Knoxville parks. We set the stage for the announcement of this significant investment in Knoxville's future.
