During the month, Pam Fansler, president of First Tennessee-Knoxville, and Donna Cooper, executive vice president, visited financial centers throughout the region to personally thank employees for their hard work and dedication.
“We value our employees and the outstanding work that they do to make First Tennessee successful,” Fansler said. “At every level of our company, we strive to do the right thing for our employees and that makes a difference in attracting and retaining the best people. It translates over time into better value for our customers.”
First Tennessee planned several activities for employees throughout the month. The bank entered employees in weekly drawings for $50 Visa Buxx gift cards, and each employee could earn more entries depending on years of service. At the end of the month, four additional prize drawings awarded $125 Visa Buxx cards each.
On Wednesday, Aug. 20, and Thursday, Aug. 21, First Tennessee hosted employee luncheons at First Tennessee Plaza and at all Knoxville, Morristown, Dandridge and Maryville financial centers.
On Wednesday, Aug. 27, and Thursday, Aug. 28, First Tennessee offered financial education seminars for employees. Topics included lessons such as life insurance, health care power of attorney, estate planning, saving for college, planning for retirement and more.
In addition to the regular means of thanking employees throughout the year, First Tennessee provided personalized cards to employees with standout performance to acknowledge their dedication and service.
“Our employees provide exceptional service every day,” Fansler said. “It’s important to First Tennessee that we take the time to show our appreciation and gratitude for all that they do. We made an extra effort to do so during the month of August.”
