U.S. CELLULAR HOSTS WIRELESS SAFETY DAY IN COOKEVILLE
Free Safety Products and Tips Offered to Public
As part of national Wireless Safety Month, U.S. Cellular associates at the Cookeville retail store recently joined the Putnam County Rescue Squad to share important safety information with children and parents.
The Safety Day activities included ambulance tours and demonstrations from the rescue squad, free DNA testing kits for families to keep an extra identification record of their children, pony rides and other activities. U.S. Cellular associates, along with Cellby, the U.S. Cellular mascot shaped like a giant cell phone, taught children to dial 9-1-1.
“Teaching kids to dial 9-1-1 is a simple exercise that could save a life,” said Jack Brundige, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in Tennessee. “We all share the responsibility of helping kids learn safe habits and when we can bring the right people together, great things happen.”
More than 100 children and their families attended the event at the store.
U.S. Cellular is the nation's sixth-largest wireless service carrier, providing wireless service to 6.2 million customers in 26 states. The Chicago-based company employs 8,700 associates and operates on a customer satisfaction strategy, meeting customer needs by providing a comprehensive range of wireless products and services, superior customer support, and a high-quality network.
